Do wash your cutting board by
hand. If you’re just cutting dry items, you can simply wipe it off, but juicy
or sticky you’ll need to wash and rinse it.Do use a mild liquid dish soap
to wash your cutting board.Do wipe your cutting board dry
after cleaning, and let it finish by air-drying on its side.Don’t soak a cutting board. Soaking can
cause your board to warp.Don’t put wooden cutting boards in
the dishwasher. The excessive heat and harsh chemicals of the dish detergent
will cause the wood to dry out, warp, and/or crack.Don’t put your cutting board in the
microwave.Don’t use harsh, concentrated cleaners
on your cutting board.

Also:
The more you use and clean your board means you will need
to oil it more often. It should be oiled with food safe mineral oil at least
every 3 months or if your board looks dry. Climate
is another factor. You may need to oil cutting boards more often in the winter,
when the house is dry and you are running the heater more often.
